Dr. Ravi Kumar Gupta is currently working as an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Arunachal Pradesh, India. He has over a decade of academic experience and has previously served at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Gorakhpur, as well as at the University of Delhi.

He holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Economics from Pondicherry University, Puducherry, and completed his Master’s degree in Economics from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. His primary research interests include development economics, labor economics, gender studies, social protection, and financial inclusion.

Dr. Gupta has published extensively in reputed peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus, ESCI, ABDC, and ABS, and has authored book chapters with Springer Nature, Routledge, Bentham Science Publishers, and Taylor & Francis. His work demonstrates a strong commitment to bridging theoretical insights with applied policy concerns. He has successfully completed research projects funded by national agencies such as NABARD, the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) under the Ministry of Education.

In addition to his research and teaching responsibilities, Dr. Gupta is actively engaged in academic mentorship, supervising postgraduate and doctoral students. He has delivered numerous invited lectures and participated in workshops and seminars at institutions including Banaras Hindu University, NIT Patna, and MMMUT.

Dr. Gupta contributes to the global academic community as a reviewer for prestigious journals. He serves as a reviewer for Gender & Society (SCI, Impact Factor: 7.2), Academy of Management (SCI, Impact Factor: 9.5), Applied Economics Letters (SCI, Impact Factor: 1.1), and the Indian Journal of Economics and Development (ESCI, NAAS Score: 5.15).

According to Google Scholar, Dr. Gupta has over 274 citations, with an h-index of 9 and an i10-index of 8, reflecting the impact and consistency of his scholarly contributions.

Through his academic work and professional service, Dr. Gupta continues to contribute meaningfully to the field of economics, with a focus on inclusive development and evidence-based policy-making.
