About
I, Dr Harvinder Singh a postgraduate microbiologist currently working as a Scientist B in the Division of Discovery Research, ICMR, New Delhi, since November 2025. I have worked in the department of Translational and Regenerative Medicine at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh from January 2024 to November 2025. I have completed two Johns Hopkins University Coursera specialisations in Data Science and Genomic Data Science over the last 5 years. I have published various papers in esteemed peer-reviewed journals i.e., ACS-JCIM, ACS-P&TS, JBSD, Scientific Reports, mSystem-ASM, and Tissue-and-Cell, including two systematic reviews and meta-analyses, >10 original research articles, three book chapters, an editorial, an R package and LINUX-based gmx_qk (JCIM-ACS) in the last six years.
An international travel grant award from DST-SERB and ICMR to attend an international conference on bioinformatics at the Translational Research Institute, Australia.
In addition, I have experience as a lecturer in the agriculture college, teaching undergrads about agriculture microbiology. Highly motivated researcher with a strong background in structural informatics, drug discovery, and simulation (GROMACS). Skilled in molecular dynamics simulations, protein-ligand docking, homology modelling, and computational drug design, and experienced in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve research goals. Currently seeking a post-doctoral fellowship to further advance my research and develop new skills in the field of structural informatics.
