About

I was born in Gorakhpur city of INDIA. I received B. Sc. (Physics, Maths, Statistics), M. Sc. (Physics) degrees from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur, and an M.Tech degree (Nanotechnology) from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, INDIA. I gained my Ph.D. degree on the topic of " Studies on surface plasmon resonance-based fiber optic sensor utilizing Indium tin oxide " from the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India in October 2015. During my Ph.D., I worked under the excellent guidance of Prof. Banshi D. Gupta (great mentor).
I did M.Tech from JMI Delhi in Nanotechnology & during my M. Tech project, I worked On Metal oxide gas sensors at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) Mumbai. Later I joined my Ph.D. at IIT Delhi where I worked on fiber optic SPR sensors for their application in gas, bio, and refractive index sensing. After completing my Ph.D. I moved to City University in Hongkong as a Postdoc where I studied long-period grating fiber & polymer Waveguide based chemicals and biosensors. Thereafter I joined A &M & Baylor University Texas where I Investigated nanostructured optical fiber & new materials for biosensing, in fiber Raman & their novel optical properties. Further, I moved to ETS Montreal Canada where I investigated OAM beam generation in specialty fiber and its sensing application. Further, I moved on to COPL Laval University, Quebec City Canada, and worked on OAM beam generation in specialty fiber and their application in communications. Further, i moved to Denmark and was working on fiber optic sensors in CO2 gas detection at Denmark Technical University Denmark.
Currently, I am working as a Senior Researcher (Associate Professor) at CTTC Barcelona where I am more focussed on quantum communication and quantum sensor.
