About
Dr. Laxmikant Zawar is working as a HOD and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at H. R. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Shirpur. He completed his Ph.D. from Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University Jalgaon in 2016, master's degree in Pharmaceutics in 2007, and bachelor's in pharmacy (B. Pharm) in 2005 from R. C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Shirpur (M.S.). He is a member of the BOS of Pharmaceutics, and a member of the Local Inspection Committee at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University Jalgaon. He is an approved M.Pharm and Ph.D. Guide in Pharmaceutics at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University Jalgaon.
He is a winner of the AVISHKAR research convention, an AICTE-sponsored faculty development program on ICT blended Teaching/Learning. He has successfully Coordinated AICTE-sponsored national-level ATAL FDP. He has conducted programs on personality development, communication skills, and soft skills development.
His teaching interest includes Dispensing Pharmacy, Unit Operation, Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Novel Drug Delivery System, Hospital Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Communication Skills, and Soft Skills. His primary research interest is in the field of solubility and dissolution rate enhancement, nanoparticulate drug delivery, mucoadhesive drug delivery, and natural gum-based drug delivery system.
He has guided 1 Ph.D. and 17 M. Pharm students. He has authored 1 patent, 2 books, and 3 book chapters. He has presented papers at various national and international conferences and published/reviewed several articles in journals of repute. He has delivered lectures as a resource person in seminars and workshops.
