About
I am a physician-scientist and radiologist, a Simons-Ashoka Early Career Fellow at the Koita Centre for Digital Health, Ashoka University, and founder and group lead of CRASH Lab. I trained in radiodiagnosis at AIIMS New Delhi and earned my MBBS with a Gold Medal from JIPMER Puducherry.
My research develops benchmarks, datasets and evaluation frameworks for safe and reliable clinical AI. I study frontier multimodal and language models under clinically realistic conditions, focusing on uncertainty, reliability, safe human handover, multilingual performance, bias and fit within clinical workflows.
My work includes Radiology's Last Exam (RadLE) 1.0 and 2.0, medical imaging foundation models, radiology reporting, multilingual clinical documentation and clinical decision support. Through CRASH Lab, I collaborate with clinical, academic, public-sector and technical partners to strengthen responsible AI evaluation and deployment in India and other resource-constrained health systems.
