Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra is a distinguished multidisciplinary scientist, author, and Chief Technical Officer at the ICFRE–Tropical Forest Research Institute (TFRI), Jabalpur, an institute under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. He earned postgraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics before completing his Ph.D. in Space Science, building a strong foundation that enables research across multiple scientific disciplines.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mishra has pursued interdisciplinary research at the intersection of space science, astrophysics, heliophysics, artificial intelligence, data science, materials science, environmental science, forestry, climate studies, and computational modeling. His scientific interests include solar activity, sunspots, cosmic ray modulation, space weather forecasting, black hole physics, Earth observation, remote sensing, climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, digital agriculture, advanced materials, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), geospatial technologies, and sustainable development. In recent years, he has focused extensively on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to scientific research, including predictive modeling, intelligent decision-support systems, autonomous scientific workflows, and AI-assisted discovery across space science, environmental monitoring, and engineering.
