Dr. Rajesh Kumar Mishra is a distinguished multidisciplinary scientist, author, and Chief Technical Officer at the ICFRE–Tropical Forest Research Institute (TFRI), Jabalpur, an institute under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. He earned postgraduate degrees in Physics and Mathematics before completing his Ph.D. in Space Science, building a strong foundation that enables research across multiple scientific disciplines.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mishra has pursued interdisciplinary research at the intersection of space science, astrophysics, heliophysics, artificial intelligence, data science, materials science, environmental science, forestry, climate studies, and computational modeling. His work integrates theoretical principles with advanced computational methods to solve complex scientific and environmental problems.
Dr. Mishra has authored more than 600+ scientific publications, including peer-reviewed journal articles, review papers, books, book chapters, conference proceedings, and technical reports. His research has attracted over 731,000+ reads and more than 800+ citations, demonstrating its wide dissemination and influence within the international scientific community.
His scientific interests include solar activity, sunspots, cosmic ray modulation, space weather forecasting, black hole physics, Earth observation, remote sensing, climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, digital agriculture, advanced materials, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), geospatial technologies, and sustainable development. In recent years, he has focused extensively on applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to scientific research, including predictive modeling, intelligent decision-support systems, autonomous scientific workflows, and AI-assisted discovery across space science, environmental monitoring, and engineering.
In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Mishra serves the scientific community through editorial and peer-review activities. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of The Open Astronomy Journal and has served as an Associate Editor of the Space Research Journal, contributing to the dissemination of high-quality scientific research.
Dr. Mishra has collaborated with researchers from diverse disciplines and has authored numerous books and book chapters covering topics such as artificial intelligence, space science, forestry, environmental sustainability, climate change, materials science, digital technologies, and computational science. His research philosophy emphasizes integrating emerging technologies with fundamental scientific principles to address global challenges.
