About
Dr. Nitin Kumar Saxena is a distinguished academic and researcher with a strong background in machine learning and power systems. He is a Senior IEEE Member, a member of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), and has held memberships in several other prestigious organizations, including ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Education), IAENG (International Association of Engineers), and AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science).
Dr. Saxena completed his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree from MJP Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, India, in 2002. He went on to earn his M.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi, India, in 2009. In 2016, he completed his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra, India. Currently, he is serving as a Professor at KIET Deemed to be University, Delhi-NCR.
Dr. Saxena has an extensive international career. He has worked as a Visiting Professor at the University of Denver, USA, and has served as Dean (Research) at BFGI Bathinda Punjab and Assistant Dean (Research), Teerthanker Mahaveer University Moradabad and Research Professor and Head at KIET Group of Institutions in Ghaziabad, India. Additionally, he has worked as an Associate Professor at Wolaita Sodo University in Ethiopia and as the Head of the Department at Moradabad Institute of Technology, India. His academic and research expertise has led to invitations from reputed international universities in China, the USA, and Africa.
He is an author with over 60 papers published in SCI journals, 25 conference papers indexed in Scopus, and 12 Scopus-indexed book chapters. Dr. Saxena has also authored three national-level textbooks on Electrical Engineering. He has also organized international level Conferences, Workshops, and Faculty Development Programs. His areas of research interest include machine learning, deregulated power systems, FACTS (Flexible AC Transmission Systems) devices, electric markets, ancillary services, technical education pedagogy, and the application of computer systems in power networks.
