About
Dr. Sheikh Shahnawaz Quadir, PhD
Dr. Sheikh Shahnawaz Quadir completed his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. His doctoral research focused on the development and characterization of oral nanoformulations for the treatment of cancer, with a particular emphasis on the design of advanced nanocarrier-based drug delivery systems to improve therapeutic efficacy and bioavailability.
His doctoral research expertise includes the formulation and characterization of lipid- and polymer-based nanoparticles using techniques such as Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and UV-Visible Spectroscopy. He has extensive experience in in vitro cell culture studies using Caco-2 and PANC-1 cancer cell lines, as well as in vivo pharmacokinetic and efficacy studies employing DMBA-induced pancreatic ductal carcinoma models.
His research interests include nanomedicine, targeted drug delivery, cancer therapeutics, RNA-based therapeutics, pharmaceutical nanotechnology, and translational drug delivery systems. He has published several research articles in reputed international journals, including the Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology, ACS Omega, Journal of Controlled Release, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, and AAPS PharmSciTech.
Dr. Quadir's work is focused on developing innovative nanotechnology-based therapeutic strategies to enhance the treatment of cancer and other complex diseases.
