About
Dr. Yugal Kishore Mohanta is a dedicated researcher and academician with over a decade of experience in the interdisciplinary fields of nanobiotechnology, microbiology, phyto-bioactives and sustainable development. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Biology at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), he leads the Nano-Biotechnology and Translational Knowledge Laboratory (NanoBioTraK_Lab). Dr. Mohanta's work bridges science and real-world applications, with a strong focus on developing eco-friendly nano-materials for use in food, agriculture, medicine, and environmental management. He has led and collaborated on several nationally and internationally funded research projects, including grants from India’s ANRF (DST) and the Government of Malta, and has contributed to over 192 peer-reviewed publications, 11 books in Elsevier, CRC Press & Springer Nature and 4 patents. He is also serving as editorial board members in many reputed journals. His career reflects a strong commitment to translational research, innovation, and sustainable scientific solutions.
