About
Dr. Arijit Ghosal received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2014. He obtained his M.Tech. in Software Engineering and B.Tech. in Information Technology from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (formerly West Bengal University of Technology) in 2008 and 2006, respectively. Currently, Dr. Ghosal serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Technology at St. Thomas’ College of Engineering & Technology, Kolkata. He possesses over 19 years of teaching experience. Dr. Ghosal has actively contributed to the academic and research community by organizing several special sessions at international conferences and chairing numerous technical sessions at prestigious international forums. He serves as a reviewer for several reputed international journals, including SCIE-indexed journals, as well as international conferences. In addition, he is a member of the Technical Program Committees of various international conferences. He is associated with the Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), USA, and is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He is also a Fellow of Nikhil Bharat Shiksha Parisad. His research interests include Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition. Dr. Ghosal has authored nearly 50 refereed publications, including articles in international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. His innovation and research contributions have resulted in two granted international patents and one filed Indian patent. In recognition of his academic excellence and contributions to education and research, Dr. Ghosal was honoured with the “Most Promising Academician 2021” award by Nikhil Bharat Shiksha Parisad. He has also received the prestigious “Sir C.V. Raman Technology Enthusiast” award from the All India Eminent Faculty Council of Engineering, Management & Technology.
