About

Dr. Pooja Jain is a microbiologist and a bioinformatician with an avid interest in suggesting computational solutions to biological problems. She has expertise in a range of computational approaches ranging from genomics, text mining, structural bioinformatics to the supervised and logic based machine learning approaches. Pooja is currently a PostDoc at the Imperial College London. Her current research involves effective integration of high-throughput data and infer patterns of biological significance from molecular profiles to facilitate understanding metabolic regulation of biological processes. Dr. Jain is keen to continue her research career studying miRNA mediated regulation of cellular processes. Specific interest is to investigate the role of intronic or even yet un-sequenced regions of genome, specifically the regulatory aspects. Other areas of interest for Dr. Jain are, structural bioinformatics, automated biological network annotations and systems and synthetic biology.
