About

Dr. Venkatesh Boddapati received his B.Tech (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, and M.Tech (Power Electronics) from B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore, Karnataka, India in the year 2009 and 2011, respectively. He received Ph.D. from department of EEE, NIT, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India under AICTE-QIP scheme, sponsored by Govt. Of India and B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore. Currently he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore. His areas of interest include Renewable Energy, Micro-grids and designing of hybrid energy based Electric vehicle charging stations. He has published and presented more than 20 research papers, guided 10 B. Tech projects and 2 M.Tech. students and authored one book and two book chapters. He is also a consultant for power quality improvement projects, large scale solar PV power plants design, Microgrids design and Electric Vehicles design projects.

Administrative Responsibilities Undertaken at institute level and contribution to the society.


I. Serving as a NODAL officer NIRF for the institute from 2021.
II. Serving as a BMS Engineering Consultancy Center Committee (BMSECCC) member from 2022.
III. Serving as a Hostel warden from 2022 to till date.
IV. Institute level Electrical energy auditor and Committee member.
V. EEEA Faculty coordinator.
VI. Served as the Warden for BMS Educational Trust Hostel during 2015 to 2018.
VII. Served as secretary for IEEE, SSIT, ES chapter, Bangalore section, from 2016-2018.
VIII. BOE/BOS cluster level coordinator from 2014 to 2018.
IX. Serving as a Guest Editor for Distributed generation and alternative energy journal. (SCOUPS INDEXED Journal).
X. Organized several IEEE international conferences under special session category as conference chair.
