About

Dr. Rahul K. Nath, M.D., serves as a Reconstructive Microsurgeon and as the Director of Texas Nerve and Paralysis Institute at Houston, USA. He is also the Founder and the first Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury. In addition, he is the Founder and first elected Chairman of The International Society for Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury. He received his M.D. degree in 1988 from Northwestern University, The Feinberg School of Medicine, Chicago, Ill, USA. This was followed by internship and residency at the Department of Surgery, Northwestern University and residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery, Washington University in St. Louis, followed by two fellowship years in the area of peripheral nerve injury. He joined the Faculty at Baylor College of Medicine in 1996, and he served there until 2004. He serves currently as the Director of Texas Nerve and Paralysis Institute, Houston, USA. He has published over 99 peer-reviewed research articles, 13 book chapters, 36 invited lectures, 39 presentations, 23 instructional courses, 2 editorial letters, and a book on brachial plexus. He has 3 USA patents and won numerous awards. In addition, he is an Editorial Board Member of several surgical, orthopedics, and scientific journals.
