About
Dr. Manu Banga's research is dedicated to advancing the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a specific focus on Generative AI, Explainable Machine Learning (XAI), and Human-Centered AI. His work is at the intersection of cutting-edge deep learning techniques, reinforcement learning, and multi-agent systems, striving to build AI systems that are not only intelligent but also transparent and aligned with human values.
Key Areas of Research:
Reinforcement Learning (RL) and Multi-Agent Systems (MAS): Dr. Banga is implementing Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) with Transformer architectures and Multi-Agent Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (MADDPG) to enable cooperation among AI agents for complex task-solving and goal achievement in multi-agent environments.
Graph Neural Networks (GNNs): Focusing on GNNs for Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing (NLP), exploring how graph-based data can enhance the accuracy and insights of AI models in these fields.
Explainable AI (XAI): Dr. Banga works on creating transparent and interpretable models, ensuring that AI decision-making processes are understandable, trustworthy, and ethically responsible.
Ongoing Learning & Collaborations:
Expanding expertise in applying GNNs for improved computer vision and NLP.
Harnessing the potential of XAI to ensure that AI models can be easily audited, understood, and trusted.
Actively seeking collaboration opportunities in Autonomous Systems, Edge AI, and Secure Data Privacy through blockchain and homomorphic encryption.
Dr. Manu Banga advocates for AI systems that are ethical, transparent, and inclusive. His research contributions aim to ensure that AI technologies benefit society while being ethically responsible and aligned with human values.
