About

Dr. Sudip Chakraborty is currently leading MATES (MAterials Theory for Energy Scavenging) Lab in Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI) Allahabad. He earned his PhD (Physics) in modelling semiconductor quantum dots for efficient solar cell materials, in collaboration with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and University of Pune, India in 2011. He moved to Max Planck Institute, Düsseldorf, Germany in March, 2011 as a Max Planck Postdoctoral Fellow, where he worked on different catalytic reaction mechanism (HER, ORR) from DFT perspective. In February, 2013 he joined Materials Theory Division, Uppsala University, Sweden to work on Hybrid Perovskites Solar Cell, Photocatalytic Water Splitting, Efficient Battery Materials and High Pressure Physics.
