About

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, Hamburg, focusing on the immunopathology of Lassa fever patients. With over seven years of research experience in translational immunology, my work centres on applying insights from clinical and laboratory studies to improve patient care.

Previously, I served as Research Scientist II at the Tata Translational Cancer Research Centre, where I coordinated and analysed a multicentre clinical trial on pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia across six cancer centres in India. In an earlier role as Research Scientist I at the Inst. of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (IPGMER), I contributed to the development and standardisation of diagnostic test systems for visceral leishmaniasis and post–kala azar dermal leishmaniasis.

I completed my PhD on the immunopathology of human leishmaniasis, studying immune dysregulation and its role in hypopigmentation, disease pathophysiology, and host–pathogen interactions.
