About

Dr Nisha Kumari completed her B.Sc from Jamshedpur Women’s College in 2016 and M.Sc from Banasthali Vidyapith in 2018. In 2019, Nisha applied for a PhD degree in BIT Mesra, Ranchi. I was happy to become her PhD supervisor. Nisha proposed her idea of using modified moringa oleifera based biopolymer and its applications. Throughout her PhD research, Nisha showed calculated patience towards any hurdle and demonstrated a correct mixture of enthusiasm, passion, innovativeness, and integrity in her character. This ability to investigate the research questions makes Nisha a unique researcher.
Nisha is also passionate about teaching activities. During her PhD work, Nisha guided many UG and PG student. Warmth in her personality has always made the research and teaching environment lively. In addition, Nisha is also an excellent manager who can work alone and also as a team leader very efficiently even under pressure situations. Nisha Published journal papers and book chapters during her PhD. Even after her PhD (defended her thesis in March 2023), she still involves herself with the current research. Nisha always comes up with relevant, innovative research ideas and plans to accomplish them.
Nisha has all the skills that an early career Academics should have. I am sure that with the experience which Nisha had, with her passion for teaching, and with her skill to coordinate and manage events, she will be very successful in her carrier and will be able to help the community with her research and managerial qualities.
