About
I am a Research Scholar doing my Ph.D. in Political Science at Amity Institute of Social Sciences, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. My research delves into the complex relationship between climate change and migration, focusing on Small Island Developing States. It questions the politics of definitions and narratives, and how they impact views on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and resilience. I am a qualitative researcher employing discourse analysis and content analysis in my research. My research interests also include the politics of gender and visual narratives.
I have been a Visiting Faculty (Graduate Teaching Assistant) at Amity University for 2 years (4 Semesters), teaching multiple courses to UG students including Indian National Movement and Constitution of India, Introduction to Marxist Philosophy, Political Theory and Concepts, Introduction to Ancient Philosophy, Philosophy of Science and Religion, Indian Logic and Epistemology, Social Structure of Ancient India, and Social Work in Urban Setting. I have qualified the UGC NET Exam for Assistant Professorship.
I have presented papers at conferences and won many paper presentation competitions. I have been published in the 'International Journal on Human Rights and Constitutional Studies' (Web of Science ESCI Journal) as well as other peer-reviewed journals and college magazines. I have co-authored chapters in books published by Author's Press and Vernon Press. Several poems of mine have also been published in different anthologies.
