About
I am a PhD candidate in Chemistry at the University of Cincinnati, specializing in synthetic organometallic chemistry. My research focuses on developing cost-effective and sustainable catalysts using earth-abundant first-row transition metals (Cu and Co). I design and synthesize novel pincer-type metal complexes to achieve catalytic performance comparable to precious metal-based systems. This involves fine-tuning the electronic and steric properties of the metal center through ligand design. My work contributes to the broader field of catalysis by exploring greener alternatives for chemical transformations.
