About

As a unique blend of research and technical expertise with student focused teaching, a dedicated and hardworking professional who is committed to provide a well-balanced, supportive and learning environment for the students, I am prepared to substantially benefit the department in which I work. I have done Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate in Computer Science and Engineering and having more than twelve years of experience of teaching at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level in various prestigious Engineering Colleges and Government Technical Universities. Currently, teaching as a “Head and Associate Professor”, Dept. of CSE with Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. I am having 19 Research Papers published in International Journals and Conferences. Working as an Outreach Head, IEEE CIS MP Section.
Moving on to the technical areas of interest, I am teaching latest subjects like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Forensics since last five years. Amongst the basic Computer Science subjects, I like to take subjects which are more logical and numerical like Compiler Design, Software Engineering, Theory of Computation, Operating System, Computer Architecture, Computer Networks etc. along with the theoretical ones.
Facing an audience of millennials, classroom teachers compete for attention with new forms of interactive highly available content. Staying relevant in this atmosphere is really difficult but is very important. Another key aspect to survive in this scenario is the innovations in the teaching techniques so as to grasp the constant attention of the young ones. These two approaches are my strength as I have been in the field of teaching for last 12 years at UG and PG level. Being a Computer Science & Engineering person, I believe in using the latest technologies in the field of teaching. That is why in spite of using only the textbooks, I also take advantage of the open-source course content relevant to the subject. This allows me to give an insight of the topic to the students in a manner which relates to the students in a better way. One thing which I personally consider very important from teaching perspective is the laboratory time as this gives students practical demonstration of subjects and increases their interest in the topic. So, I try to incorporate this in my teaching aids as much as possible.
In my research during Ph.D, I have implemented Ants Colony Algorithm for High Energy Level Transmission in Wireless Sensor Networks in which both high efficiency and reliability are achieved. In addition to my dissertation research, other area for research that interest me is “Machine Learning” in which I have completed a prestigious All India level Certification (NPTEL) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in Elite & Silver category and got position in top 2% of the total certified candidates at all India level. Completed Self-Paced Certification Programs on “Python for Machine Learning”, “Machine Learning Specialization” and “Deep Learning” organized by Electronics and ICT Academy, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee in 2020. I had done various studies in Image Processing and Natural Language Processing. Recently, I worked on three projects. First one is “Deep Audio Classifier”. Second project is “Stock Trading using Reinforcement Learning”. Another is “COVID Detection Model using X-ray Images” This involves improving my technical capabilities as well as my skills in the area of practical applications of technology.
