About
My name is Saurabh, and I am completed my PhD at L V Prasad Eye Institute, India. My doctoral research focuses on “understanding the role of altered lipid metabolism and signalling under oxidative stress in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP).” My research explores the interplay between lipid metabolism and cellular stress responses in retinal health and disease. I am particularly interested in how disruptions in metabolic pathways contribute to retinal neurodegeneration and conditions such as Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP).
My current projects include:
Investigating the role of phospholipids and sphingolipids in retinal angiogenesis and neuronal survival.
Examining the impact of ceramide toxicity on Müller glial cells and retinal neurons.
Utilizing machine learning-assisted frameworks for designing biosensors to diagnose and monitor retinal diseases.
Beyond my research, I am committed to advancing scientific knowledge in developing countries and raising awareness of how lipid metabolism affects overall health.
