About
Mr. Debkumar Bera completed his B.Sc. in Chemistry (Hons.) in 2015 from Jhargram Raj College, Vidyasagar University, West Bengal, and M. Sc. in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry Specialization) in 2017 from Vidyasagar University, West Bengal. In 2017 he qualified Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET)- 2017 Dec. for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) with a secured rank of 51 in Chemical Science. He also qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)- 2018 [all India rank (AIR)- 171], 2019 [AIR- 647], and 2020 [AIR- 885] in the paper Chemistry (CY). From 2018 - 2020 he acquired two years of research experience in synthetic organic chemistry as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at IISER Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Later on, he worked as a Project Associate-I on the project 'development of injectable nanogel for arthritis treatment' from 2020 - 2021 at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar. From August 2021 to May 2025, Mr. Debkumar Bera enrolled as a Ph.D. scholar at the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and continued his research work at CSIR-IMMT. His work interest mainly focuses on Directed self-assembly of metal nanoclusters, Metal nanoclusters-based nanogels, and hydrogels for biomedical applications. He completed the Ph.D. degree on the thesis entitled "Directed Assembly of Luminescent Metal Nanoclusters" on May 15, 2025.
