About

Robyn Alders is a veterinarian and an Honorary Professor with the Development Policy Centre within the Australian National University and the Veterinary Department of Infectious Disease and Global Health, Tufts University, USA. She is also Co-Lead of the FAO-WOAH network of expertise on animal influenza (OFFLU) Socio-Economic Working Group. Her research focuses on the nexus between food and nutrition security and the sustainable control of infectious diseases in animals, in support of sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and public health. Her wider research and development interests include food systems, One Health, gender equity, inclusive and actionable policies, and science communication.
