Dr. P. N. Bhattacharyya is working as Assistant Professor, Department of Botany, NNS College, Titabar. He has also served for more than 06 years as Scientist C, in the Mycology & Microbiology Department, TTRI, TRA, Jorhat, Assam, India. Dr. Bhattacharyya, Ph. D. from Gauhati University, Guwahati, has 16 years of research experience in microbial ecology, bioprospecting of microbes, and ecosystem management. Dr. Bhattacharyya has been awarded National Merit Scholarship (Govt. of Assam), JRF and SRF (DST, Govt. of India), Research Fellow (ICAR, Govt. of India). Dr. Bhattacharyya has received Best Researcher Award on Engineering, Science and Medicine in 2020, SADHNA Young Achiever award 2021, and BIOVED Young Scientist Award 2021. Published over 30 articles in SCI/Scopus-indexed Journals/Books, 09 Bulletins, 07 Authored/Edited books, and 10 book chapters in NAAS publications. Recipient of Govt. of India funded projects like DST, DBT, NTRF. Recognized as Network Project Coordinators from N. E. India for "The International Common Microbial Biotechnology Platform (CMBP) network for Promoting beneficial microorganisms and agroecology for improved soil health and sustainable farming systems in Asia-Pacific" since 2024. Additionally, he has presented more than 15 research papers in National and International symposia/Seminars. He has served as Resource person/Chairperson/Co-chairperson for DST, DBT, Tea Industry, National/Internation Symposium etc., and delivered lectures/chaired/co-chaired the occasion. He has experiences to serve as Convenor/Joint Convenor for International seminar, Trainings, FDP, and Workshop. Guided/Supervised/Evaluated/External Examiners of B. Sc. Dissertation (Gauhati University)/Masters (AAU, Jorhat)/Ph. D. Thesis (Deakin University, Australia). Additionally, he has been actively involved as Journal Reviewers of several Reputed Journals and thereby served the scientific fraternity across the globe.
