About

Professor, with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry for the past 25 years. She possesses expertise in research, mentoring, teaching, event management, and team leadership. A strong education professional, she holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in “Corrosion Inhibition for Aluminium and its Alloys” from the University of Rajasthan.

As the Chairperson of the Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) at Poornima College of Engineering, she has led various initiatives to inspire female students, raise awareness about gender biases, and promote gender equality and inclusivity. Technical activities are regularly organized to encourage girl students, along with women’s health awareness programs.

She was the Convener for the National Webinar on “Women Innovators - The Change makers,” held on International Women’s Day in collaboration with the Electrochemical Society of India, IISc Bangalore, on March 8, 2022.

With over two decades of experience in teaching and administration, she has published more than fifty research papers in national and international journals and conferences. She has authored six books, widely referred to in various universities, covering topics such as Engineering Chemistry, Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management, and Chemistry and Environmental Engineering. She has also contributed to several internationally recognized book chapters. Her YouTube channel, ‘Engineering Chemistry,’ featuring over 50 lectures, became a valuable resource for students during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to be popular worldwide.
Her research interests include corrosion inhibition for metals, surface coatings, electrochemistry, and environmental pollution
She has organized numerous workshops, conferences, and training programs at both national and international levels. She has served as the Convener for key conferences, including:
1. International Conference on Sustainable Energy, Environment, and Green Technologies (2021), supported by Scopus Indexed IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science (795).
2. International Conference on Recent Advances in Engineering (ICRAE), supported by Scopus /WoS Indexed AIP conference Proceedings held annually since 2022 till 2025.

As a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), she actively contributes as a Faculty Coordinator for ISTE, organizing national-level technical paper and model contests such as "AADHAR" and "Technovation" to provide students with technical exposure.

She has been an invited speaker and session chair at various national and international conferences.

Her contributions have been recognized with the “Excellence in Academic Leadership Award” by the International EARG Awards 2024.
