About
Dr Amrita Jash is Assistant Professor at the Department of Geopolitics and International Relations, Manipal Institute of Social Sciences Humanities and Arts, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal-India. Previously, She was a Research Fellow at the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS) New Delhi. She was a Visiting Fellow at the Department of Politics and International Studies at University of Cambridge. She has also been a Visiting Faculty at the Department of Chinese, Sikkim Central University.
Dr Jash holds a PhD in Chinese Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She has been a recipient of graduate fellowship by the University Grants Commission and was a fellow under the US-INDIA-CHINA Initiative in 2013, School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University, a researcher under a study trip offered by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China in 2014, and a researcher under the Harvard-Yenching-Nanching program in 2015.
Her research has appeared in ten edited books, International Peer-Reviewed Journals such as East Asian Policy, Review of Global Politics, Strategic Analysis, Yonsei Journal, China Report, Maritime Affairs and Strategic Vision. She has also published in international forums such as The Huffington Post, The Asia Times, Policy Forum, China-India Brief, IPP Review, China Focus, and others. Her research interests are China’s foreign policy, strategic and security issues, Chinese military, China-Japan relations, China-India relations and Indo-Pacific.
