About
I am a PhD candidate specializing in the human-environment dimensions of hydro-climatic extremes. With four SCIE-indexed publications, my PhD work bridges the gap between process-based hydrology and flood risk mitigation. I study climatic (climate variability and change) and geomorphologic (topology and morphometry) controls on flood and its mitigation. I have expertise geomorphology-based parsimonious rainfall-runoff modelling, regional flood frequency analysis, Bayesian rating curve and field hydrology to predict and simulate floods under uncertainty. I also prefer geomorphic descriptors and Machine Learning to extrapolate flood inundation for a larger area where hydrodynamic simulation is an constrain. Thus, my research uniquely integrates hydrologic prediction (flood hazard under uncertainty) with social science (socio-economic vulnerability) to understand flood risk in better way. I am dedicated to translating hydrological data into actionable spatial insights that support disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, and sustainable societal development across diverse geographic scales.
