About

I am working as postdoctoral research associate since July 2012 in project entitled “Photosynthetic performance and Physiological adaptation in selected medicinal herbs before and after snow fall in North Western Himalaya”. I have already completed the major portion of my research project and want to advance this work further with field trails. During my postdoctoral research tenure I have explored major biodiversity spots of Kashmir valley. I have compiled the comparative data on photosynthetic performance in medicinal herbs namely Rumex dentata, Atropa accuminata, Lupinus polyphyllus, Hyocyamus niger, Lavandula officinalis during snow coverage and after snow melt. I need to advance this research further by carrying out field measurement of radiation flux and different meteorological aspects which have direct effect on primary and secondary metabolism not only in Kashmir province but Ladakh as well.
