Dr. Muneeb Ahmad Wani works as a Assistant Professor Cum Junior Scientist, at Kashmir, India's Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir's Faculty of Horticulture, Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture (FLA). He holds a doctorate and a master's degree in Floriculture and Landscape Architecture from SKUAST-Kashmir. He received his postdoctoral degree from the Centre for Agricultural Research and Innovation (CARI) at Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) in Punjab, India, where he worked on the propagation and expansion of high-valued horticulture crops in non-traditional areas. He has four years of research, teaching, and extension experience. He has authored more than 35 research articles, 05 review articles, 07 book chapters, 5 edited books (national/international). He is member of America Society for Horticultural Sciences (ASHS), International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS), Society for Plant Research (SPR), Just Agriculture and Society for Bioinformatics and Biological Sciences. During his doctoral programme, he was recipient of prestigious MANF fellowship from University Grants Commission (UGC), Govt. of India. He is recipient of Himadri young scientist award from ISHRD and Fellow award from Society of Plant Research (Vegetos, Springer). Dr. Wani is an active reviewer for many reputable publishing houses, including Frontiers, Elsevier, and ISHS, in addition to his numerous publications in reputable journals. His research interests currently include DUS testing and germplasm screening, plant biotechnology, mutagenesis, and soilless cultivation.
