About
Manish Jain, Ph.D., is a Ramalingaswami Fellow at University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, India. He earned his Ph.D. in 2015 from CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, affiliated to Integral University, India. After getting his Ph.D., Dr. Jain gained postdoctoral research experience at University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and University of Iowa, USA. During his research career, he unfolded several molecular mechanisms that regulate smooth muscle cell proliferation and neo-intimal hyperplasia. He is particularly interested in translational research for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardio-metabolic vascular diseases. He received ATVB Travel Award for Young Investigators to present his work during ATVB/PVD 2018 Scientific Sessions in San Francisco, California. He was also awarded with Senior Research Fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research to pursue his Ph.D.
