About

Dr. Ashish Kumar Vishwakarma is Assistant Professor at National Institute of Technology, Raipur. He completed his Ph.D. in Mining Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He graduated in Mining Engineering from Government Engineering College, Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh and M. Tech. in Mining Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. Currently, he is working at Rock Excavation Engineering Research Group of CSIR-CIMFR, Dhanbad. He has received International Travel Grant from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) for presenting a technical paper at 50th ISEE conference at Savannah, United States of America. His area of research includes rock excavation by blasting, controlled blasting, blast vibration prediction, blast simulation, etc. He has published more than 25 papers in different journals and proceedings of seminar. He has worked for providing scientific services at more than 50 opencast mining, underground mining and civil construction sites.
