P. PRAKASH, RN, RM, MBA (HM), Post Doc.(N), FAIMER Fellow, works as an Associate Professor in Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing (Constituent of Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research), Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India. I formerly worked as Assistant Professor at the College of Nursing at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia, and was awarded a postdoctoral research fellowship (Nursing) at Lincoln University College, Malaysia. I am currently pursuing an International FAIMER fellowship. I was awarded a Doctorate in Nursing at Meenakshi Academy of Education & Research (MAHER), Chennai. I have 11 years of experience in nursing. I completed my Master’s in Psychiatric Nursing from Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Paramedical Sciences (SRIPMS), Coimbatore. I also completed a diploma in Operation Theater Techniques & Yoga from Annamalai University & Madurai Kamaraj University, respectively.

I received the Florence Nightingale Award for Best Nurse in Philanthropy, in 2016 from the Doctors United Charitable Trust (DUCT). He was awarded a merit certificate post-graduation for obtaining second place in general proficiency. I was awarded a gold medal at the hands of His Excellency of Governorship, Surjit Singh Barnala, for securing state-level first rank in the conversational English program conducted at the State Bank Officers Association, Chennai. I was awarded twice for the best poster presentation at national seminars. I was also awarded a gold certificate in the Yogathon Challenge competition for completing 108 rounds of Surya Namaskar on World Health Day, April 7, 2012.

I am a certified Master trainer for the Promotion of Mental Health Services in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) & Ministry of Health/Family Welfare, Govt. of India. I was an American Heart Association Certified Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider. I was approved Research supervisor at Shri Jagdishprasad Jhabarmal Tibrewala University, Rajasthan. I am the assessor of the Health Sector Skills Council. I worked as a Medical Investigator at Ayu Health, Chennai. He was the content developer for the ‘CBS Nursing Next Mobile application’.

I am a Life Member of the International Palliative Care Family Career Research Center, University of Melbourne in Australia, the American Travel Health Nurses Association, the Indian Red Cross Society, the Trained Nurses Association of India & Senior Member of the Asian Researchers Society.

I am an Editorial Board Member of various Indexed International journals. I authored a textbook on Psychology, the Pocket clinical guide for Nurses of Jaypee Brothers Publishers & also authored a Psychiatric Nursing textbook, Textbook of Applied Sociology and Psychology in CBS Publishers. I presented topics as a Resource person at the Conferences. I published research articles in Scopus-indexed journals, organized workshops, and presented scientific papers at national and international levels.
