About

Dr. A. Dennis Ananth is a Senior Assistant Professor in the School of Computing at SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur. With over 20 years of experience spanning teaching, industry, and research, he holds a B.Tech in Information Technology from Anna University, Chennai, an M.Tech in Software Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad, and a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering with a specialization in Deep Learning from Anna University, Chennai.
Dr. Ananth’s research interests include Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, and Big Data Analytics. He is an active member of professional societies such as ISTE and IE(I). Additionally, he serves as a technical reviewer for reputed international journals, including Springer Nature Series. He is part of the editorial teams for several publications, such as the IIP Edited Book Series by Iterative International Publishers (IIP), the International Journal of Advancements in Research & Technology (ISSN 2278-7763), and Machine Learning Research (ISSN 2637-5672) by Science Publishing Group, New York, USA.
Dr. Ananth has organized and participated in numerous technical workshops, faculty development programs (FDPs), and seminars. He has attended research meetings, including one at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre held at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, Maharashtra, and actively engaged in research discussions on Human-Computer Interaction at IDC, IIT Bombay. He has also served as a Subject Matter Expert for organizations such as PurpleLeap, Bangalore, and Cognifront Technology Pvt. Ltd., Nasik, and has been a book customizer and reviewer for Pearson Publications and Oxford University Press, New Delhi.
He has delivered guest lectures and invited talks at various institutions and served in academic roles such as external examiner, paper evaluator, and question paper setter for universities like the University of Pune, Visvesvaraya Technological University, Bangalore University, and Anna University, Chennai. Dr. Ananth was instrumental in establishing the Center for Cyber Security at BIT in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Standards and the Remote Center for IIT Bombay at VACOEA, Maharashtra. From 2010 to 2015, he was approved as a Lecturer in the IT Department by the UGC committee of the University of Pune. He also served as a faculty trainer for Infosys Campus Connect Program.
In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the "Promising Engineer Award" by the Institution of Engineers (India), Maharashtra, in 2012.
