AJAY MISHRA

About

My area of research study has been international economics and macroeconomics. My PhD thesis is on trade-induced FDI in South Asia and Sri Lanka. I published some articles on FDI Policy and Trade Policy. I am currently working on the linkages between trade and poverty and inequality. I have tried to see these policies from the
perspectives of developing countries. The global trade regime in practice is significantly different from the textbook trade theories. Therefore my focus is to study political economy to suggest the win-win condition for trading countries as predicted by trade theories. During my teaching career, I developed an interest in democracy, the functioning of state and capitalism, and other political economy and public policy issues.
