About
Dr. Terrance Frederick Fernandez, received his PhD and M. Tech Degree from Pondicherry Engineering College, India and B. Tech Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College (affiliated to Pondicherry University), India.
He is currently working as Professor in the department of CSE at SIMATS. Over the years, he has been working for Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology as Associate Professor in the department of Information Technology.
He has edited a SCOPUS indexed book titled “Big Data Management in sensing: Applications in AI and IoT” learning published by River Publishers, Denmark.
He published 35 papers in International journals/conferences and a couple of chapters in books. He also carries 2 patent grants to his name.
Now, he serves as an official reviewer of Hindawi’s Journal of Computer Networks and Communications, London, UK and Journal of Advances in Science, Technology and Engineering, California, USA. Recently, he is appointed as member of Editorial board for the IGI Global, USA.
He successfully qualified Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) with 92.53 percentile and was ranked second at the regional level.
He is a member of professional bodies IEEE and ISTE since 2014
He adjudicated PhD thesis and served as an External examiner from SCSVMV University, Kanchipuram in 2016. He also is currently supervising few PhD scholars from the parent university.
He successfully mentored IIT-M’s NPTEL Course “Introduction to Research” in 2016.
He was a guest speaker about “Spoken Tutorial” conducted by IIT-Bombay on 6th July 2015 as a part of “Digital India Week”.
He qualified International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam last year.
He is also a certified musician in Piano and keyboard by Trinity College, London.
