About
I am Dr. Selvakumar Periyasamy from Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. I have completed my Ph.D. entitled “Bioconversion of Pre-treated Municipal Waste Activated Sludge for Biodiesel Production under Optimal Strategy” in 2019 at National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India. I have received the PG and UG degrees from Anna University, Chennai, India. After my post-graduation, I started my career as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology (From Jan 2013- Feb 2015). Subsequently, I started doing my research in the field of biochemical engineering towards the production of industrially important enzymes from organic solid waste for different environmental sustainable applications under the guidance of Dr. P. Sivashanmugam, Professor (HAG), Department of Chemical Engineering, NIT, Trichy, India. Currently, I have four years of teaching and eight years of research experience. I have published 60 research papers in high impact factor international journals and 14 book chapters. Currently, I am working as an Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Adama Science and Technology University, Ethiopia and continuing my research in the fields of Biochemical Engineering, Bio-energy Engineering, Downstream Processing, Microbial Technology , Genetic Engineering (rDNA Technology), Bio-nanotechnology.
