Dr. Mahipal Singh Sankhla is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Forensic Science, School of Basic and Applied Science, K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, Haryana, India. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons.), Master of Science, and Ph.D. in Forensic Science from Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Dr. Sankhla’s research expertise spans. His outstanding contributions to these fields have earned him multiple accolades, including the Young Scientist Award, Young Researcher Award, and Forensic Researcher Award. His commitment to research and innovation is reflected in his extensive publication record, with over 250+ peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals and book chapters. He has also authored & edited 13 books published by renowned publishers such as Springer Nature, CRC Press, and Wiley. Additionally, he holds 02 Indian copyrights, published and granted over 70+ Indian patents. Dr. Sankhla has been honoured by the Government of India through his nomination to mentor the ‘Atal Innovation Mission’ of NITI Aayog, aimed at fostering scientific curiosity and technological innovation through Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) in Indian schools. Further recognizing his expertise, he was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for a DST-funded project at Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT), Jaipur. With a strong passion for research, education, and innovation, Dr. Sankhla continues to make significant contributions to forensic science, forensic toxicology, environmental toxicology, environmental forensics, nanotechnology, fingerprint analysis, and heavy metals toxicity.
