Dr. Annu Kumar Lakshya
International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials
About
Dr. Annu Kumar Lakshya is a materials scientist specializing in advanced ceramic materials, with a focus on oxide ceramics, zirconia-based systems, and solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) components. He completed his Ph.D. in Metallurgical and Materials Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna in 2025, where his research centered on the synthesis, processing, and characterization of advanced structural and functional ceramics. Prior to that, he obtained his M.Tech. in 2020 from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Durgapur.
In 2026, he joined the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad, as a Project Scientist at the Centre for Advanced Ceramic Materials. His current research focuses on the development of high-performance ceramic materials through innovative powder synthesis routes, microstructural engineering, and high-temperature processing. His work involves advanced characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron microscopy (SEM/FESEM/TEM), optical and thermal analysis to understand process-structure–property relationships in ceramic systems.
Dr. Lakshya’s research interests include zirconia-based ceramics, perovskite materials, and functional oxides for energy applications, particularly in solid oxide fuel cells. He is actively engaged in scientific publishing, collaborative research, and the development of next-generation ceramic materials for energy and structural applications.
