About
Arijit Roy completed his Master’s degree in Physics from Burdwan University in
2018. Shortly after, he joined the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, as
a Junior Research Fellow driven by a strong passion for laboratory astrochemistry and
laboratory astrophysics. Currently, Arijit continues his research journey at PRL as a Senior Research Fellow, where he is actively involved in investigating the formation of dust under simulated interstellar shock conditions. Arijit is pursuing his doctoral studies in the discipline of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar. His Ph.D. thesis delves into the detailed investigation of shock-induced
dust formation, examining the physical and chemical properties of the dust particles generated under controlled laboratory conditions.
