Dr Rajeev Mishra is Associate Professor in the Department of Life Sciences & Biotechnology at CSJM University, Kanpur, India from 2022. Earlier Dr Mishra was working As Assistant Professor at Manipal University Jaipur, India. Dr Mishra, prior to Joining Manipal University Jaipur, was Project Scientist at Samuel Oschin Cancer Center,
Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, USA. He has more
than 16 years of experience in cancer drug discovery research and
therapeutic resistance. He obtained his Ph.D. from Central Drug Research
Institute, Lucknow and CSJM University, Kanpur, India. After finishing
Ph.D. in 2007, he joined Department of Cancer Genetics, Nihon University
School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan as the post-doctoral fellow. In 2011, he
joined Department of Medicine at Samuel Oschin Cancer Center, Cedars
Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, USA, as post doctoral
scientist. Dr Mishra has published several research papers in almost all top
cancer journals either as a first or co-author, which include Cancer Cell,
Oncogene, Cancer Research, Cancer Science and Journal of Clinical
Investigation. He has made significant contributions in the area of
regulation of gene expression and its link to disease and therapeutics. He is
not only elucidating the mechanisms of transcription regulation through
the epigenetic modifications, but also targeting them to design new
generation diagnostics, as well as therapeutics.
