About

S. Mahaboob Hussain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vishnu Institute of Technology (VIT), Bhimavaram. He is actively pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at IIIT Ranchi, with a focus on Quantum Computing. His academic background includes an M.Tech. from JNTU Kakinada and an MCA from Andhra University.

His research interests encompass diverse areas such as Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, NLP, Digital Forensics, Semantic Web, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Cognitive Systems. With over 36 peer-reviewed publications, including books, book chapters, and research articles, he has received several Best Paper Awards in recognition of his work.

Mr. Mahaboob actively contributes to the global research community as a reviewer, editor, and technical program committee (TPC) member for various international journals and conferences. He is a Council Member of the Asian Council of Science Editors (ACSE) and a peer reviewer for high-impact venues such as IEEE Access and Elsevier journals.

His passion for guiding innovation has been evident through his roles in organizing and mentoring research and entrepreneurial initiatives. He has served as Local Co-Chair and Publicity Chair for the EAI IC4S conference series (2022–2024). Additionally, his leadership in organizing Docathons' has empowered students to refine and publish their research work.

With a focus on building academic and entrepreneurial ecosystems, Mr. Mahaboob also serves as Mentor of Change under NITI Aayog, fostering startups and guiding student entrepreneurs. His contributions to the Smart India Hackathon and other innovation programs further reflect his commitment to nurturing future innovators.

He continuously upgrades his expertise, holding certifications in Quantum Computing (NPTEL), AI and Machine Learning (IBM), Cybersecurity (Cisco), and more. His work exemplifies a seamless integration of research, mentorship, and innovation, making him a prominent contributor to both academic and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
