About

ANDALLIB TARIQ has BE in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University and earned MTech and PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 2004. He has served as faculty in India and abroad and presently working as Professor in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. He is actively involved with the use of Liquid Crystal Thermography, Particle Image Velocimetry, and Infrared Thermography in heat transfer research, and contributed significantly towards the progress of optical flow diagnostic tools in engineering applications. He is known for providing experimental solutions to several extremely challenging industry problems, which are hard to deal with by conventional approach and techniques. His ability to conceptualize, design, and integrate the latest techniques & optical tools is exemplary, which in-turn creates state-of-the art operable engineering-system capable of meeting requirements within often opposing constraints, and provide exemplary way out. Organized several national/international workshops related with the flow visualization and its role in thermo-fluid measurements, and published many papers in various international journals of repute. His research interest includes: Experimental fluid mechanics, Turbulence, Heat transfer enhancement, Thermal Contact Conductance, Inverse problems, Gas turbine blade cooling, and Nuclear safety research. He is currently associated with different government agencies of India as the consultant/researcher, and working on topics related with the aerodynamics, gas turbine blade cooling, and nuclear safety research.
