About
Dr. Anand Singh Jalal received the M.Tech degree in Computer Science from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, India. Where he was awarded the University Gold Medal for being a topper. He received the PhD in the area of Computer Vision from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Allahabad, India. He has published over 125 research papers in reputed journals and conferences, including 50 SCI papers, 39 Scopus and 62 Conference papers. His areas of interest include Image Processing, Computer Vision, Biometrics, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. He has supervised 9 PhDs and 29 MTech students in his research career. He is the principal investigator of two projects funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt of India and Mantra Softtech (India) Pvt. Limited, Ahmedabad respectively. He has more than 25 years of teaching and research experience in computer science and currently, he is working as a Professor in the School of Computer Science & Information Technology, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, (A State Govt. University), Indore, MP India. Before that, he worked as a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and Applications and Controller of Examinations at GLA University, Mathura. During his tenure in GLA, Dr. Jalal worked as Head, Department of Computer Engineering & Applications, Programme Coordinator M.Tech (CSE) programme, Programme Coordinator MCA programme, Chairperson – DRDC, Member Academic and Executive Council GLA University. Dr. Jalal also served the CSI Mathura chapter as President, Vice president and Hon. Secretary for many years. He is a senior member of IEEE, a lifetime member of the Computer Society of India (CSI), a lifetime member Indian Unit for Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (IUPRAI) and a lifetime member Institution of Engineers(India). Dr. Jalal successfully organized many conferences and workshops such ISCON 2019, UPCON 2017, AIVP-2017, SCEAM 2016, ISCON 2014.
