About
Dr. Anukool Vaishnav is an experienced researcher in the field of plant-microbe interactions, affiliated with Department of Biotechnology, GLA University, Mathura as an Assistant Professor. Currently, he is employed as an Associate Scientist at the Institute of Microbiology, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic. Dr. Vaishnav earned his doctoral degree in 2017 from Mody University of Science and Technology in India, specializing in Plant-Microbe Interactions. In 2018, he was awarded the SERB-NPDF grant at Banaras Hindu University, India. He also secured a Swiss Excellence Postdoctoral Grant at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 2021. His research focuses on utilizing arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and other beneficial soil microbes to enhance plant growth under stress conditions and improve nutrient uptake efficiency. Throughout his research career, Dr. Vaishnav has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers, 19 book chapters, and edited 8 books with Springer, Elsevier, and CRC Press. He holds 4 patents on various microbe-based formulations for promoting plant growth under stress conditions, which are currently under consideration for technology transfer. Dr. Vaishnav has received several accolades, including the AMI Young Scientist Award in 2022 and the Asian PGPR Young Scientist Award in 2021. He has also supervised two Ph.D. students and three Master students during his tenure as Assistant Professor at GLA University in Mathura, India.
