About
I am a chemist with a strong passion for transforming waste to wealth through innovative and sustainable approaches to energy conversion and environmental remediation. My research focuses on developing advanced materials and technologies that address global challenges in clean energy, climate change mitigation, and environmental sustainability.
My interests in energy conversion encompass renewable and sustainable energy systems, particularly the electrochemical and photochemical conversion of greenhouse gases such as CO₂ into value-added chemicals and liquid fuels. I am also actively engaged in fuel cell technologies and electrocatalytic processes, including the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), oxygen evolution reaction (OER), and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), and electrooxidation with the goal of advancing efficient and sustainable energy-generation systems.
In the area of environmental remediation, I investigate innovative wastewater treatment technologies utilizing agricultural and forestry wastes, low-cost bio-based materials, and advanced synthetic adsorbents for the removal of emerging contaminants from water systems. My work further extends to the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of nanoparticles, nanomaterials, and nanocomposites for environmental, catalytic, and energy-related applications.
Additionally, I have a growing interest in leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven approaches to accelerate scientific discovery and optimize material design. I also employ bibliometric and scientometric analyses to evaluate research trends, scientific impact, collaboration networks, and emerging innovation pathways, thereby contributing to evidence-based research planning and policy development.
