Professor Manjeet Singh Nain, Principal Scientist, Agril. Extension, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi graduated from CCSHAU Hisar and obtained his Master's and Doctorate from GB Pant University of Agri. & Technology, Pantnagar. He has 27 years of professional experience in teaching, research, and technology transfer. He started his professional career in 1998 at KVK Leh (J&K), later shifted to Jammu and worked for 12 years at Sher e Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu in the capacity of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor (Agricultural Extension). He has published more than 180 papers including 164 NAAS-rated research papers, 35 book chapters, twelve books, technical papers, and popular articles for farmers. He has guided 17 research students (M. Sc. and Ph.D.) as chairman and 18 as co-chairman / member. His area of research includes; agricultural communication, diffusion of innovation, participatory methods, entrepreneurship development farmer-led innovations, and training methodologies. He has handled 17 research projects including 10 outside-funded projects. He is the recipient of the Young Scientist Award of the Society of Extension Education, Mobilization Fellow, Best Community Mobilizer, Fellow of the Indian Society of Extension Education, Dr. K.N. Singh Memorial Award, and Dr. O.P Dahama Memorial Award of the Indian Society of Extension Education, Ram Nath Singh Award of ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, in addition to other appreciations. He is the Chief Editor of the Indian Journal of Extension Education(since 2020), and Journal of Extension Systems(2020-22), a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Community Mobilization and Sustainable Development, and an Associate Editor, of Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems (since 2023).
