Prof. Satya Prakash Singh, Ph.D.

Prof. Satya P. Singh currently working as guest faculty and PhD supervisor at the Department of Biosciences, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India. Earlier, worked as UGC-BSR Faculty (Emeritus Professor, 2020-2023) and Professor & Head from 2003-2020 in the same Department. He was the coordinator of the UGC- CAS Program. Having a Master’s in Microbiology from the G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, India, he carried out his doctoral research at Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia. He worked at the National Food Research Institute, Tsukuba, Japan as a visiting scientist and at Yangon University, Myanmar as visiting professor. He has published 118 research papers, 30 book chapters, and 1 edited book (Springer), with H-Index and citations at 35 and above 3500, respectively. Supervised 25 Ph.D., 23 MPhil, and 115 MSc students. Currently 2 PhD students working with him. Research collaborations with Dr. Kiyoshi Hayashi (National Food Research Institute and now at Toyo University, Japan), Prof. Peter Rogers (Griffith University, Brisbane, Australia), Prof. S. K. Khare (IIT, New Delhi), and Prof. Sanjay Kapoor (University of Delhi University, South Campus, New Delhi), Prof. Ch. Ramana Rao (Central University of Hyderabad) and Prof. Ch. Sasikala (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad). Has carried out many research projects funded by UGC, DBT, CSIR, MoES, DST, GSBTM and Saurashtra University, and the Government of Japan. Reviewer and editor of many reputed journals.
