About
Research areas includes, design, synthesis and evaluation of novel biopolymers from microbial and natural sources, specifically beta glucans and its applications as drug carriers, immunomodulators, hydrogels for wound healing and 3D scaffolds. Most of the research work is related to understanding the polymer – Phagocytic cell (Macrophage) interaction and its in vitro response. A patent “process of blending cyclic β-(1-2) glucans with natural compounds (Patent No: 348864)”.
