Research Interests:
1. Microbial wealth of extreme environments.
2. Molecular characterization and biosynthesis of products of therapeutics and commercial interests from extremophiles.
3. Synthetic biology of antibiotic (multi-drug) resistance (MDR) and antibiotic producing microorganisms.
4. Study novel metabolic routes for simultaneous saccharification, detoxification of lignocellulosic substrate and ethanol production in a model organism.
