About

My research interest revolves around various subdomains of NLP.
I am currently involved in exploring and addressing the challenges of misinformation, e.g., fake news, cyberbullying, and hate speech, in mitigating complex online harms. As part of this, I took multiple online challenges on Fact-verification, FEVEROUS, and AVeriTeC (achieving a rank on the leaderboard), to build models and pipelines to be included in the current work.

Some of the things I have done during my PhD research:
• developed a web-based front-end basically in Javascript and HTML for the spoken dialogue system (SDS).
• adapted PyDial toolkit to perform conversation in the Hindi language.
• collected a Hindi dataset of paired Dialogue-Act and corresponding user utterances for the NLG module in Hotel and Restaurant domain.
• applied Deep Learning approaches to build LSTM based NLG models for the SDS.
• developed various TTS models for the Hindi language, e.g. USS, HMM, CLUSTERGEN and DNN and incorporated them in SDS.
